Schopedia Website Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Schopedia website and digital learning platform (“Platform”, “Schopedia”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, registering on, or using Schopedia, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms
  • You agree to comply with them
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

2. Account Registration and Security

2.1 Some features of the Platform require account registration.

2.2 You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and up-to-date information
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activities conducted under your account

2.3 Schopedia shall not be liable for losses arising from unauthorised use of your account.

3. Use of the Platform

3.1 You agree to use the Platform lawfully, responsibly, and in accordance with these Terms.

3.2 You must not:

  • Misuse the Platform or interfere with its operation
  • Attempt to bypass access controls or security features
  • Upload malicious software or harmful content
  • Use the Platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes

3.3 Schopedia reserves the right to suspend or terminate access where misuse or violation of these Terms is detected.

4. Nature of Content and Courses

4.1 All lessons and courses on Schopedia are provided for tutorial, learning enhancement, and skills development purposes only.

4.2 Courses:

  • Are not formal academic or professional qualifications
  • Do not provide licensing, accreditation, or job guarantees

4.3 Learners who complete a course may receive a Certificate of Completion only, which confirms participation and completion, not formal certification.

5. Digital Products and Access

5.1 All products offered on Schopedia are digital and delivered electronically.

5.2 Upon successful payment, users are granted limited, non-transferable, and non-exclusive access to the purchased content for personal or internal use only.

5.3 Sharing, reselling, or redistributing purchased content is strictly prohibited.

6. Payments and Pricing

6.1 Payments are processed through approved third-party payment providers.

6.2 Schopedia does not store payment card or mobile money credentials.

6.3 Prices may be displayed in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) or United States Dollars (USD) and may change from time to time.

7. Refund Policy

7.1 Digital Nature of Products: Due to the nature of digital content, you acknowledge that by purchasing and accessing the content, you lose your right to a cooling-off period or cancellation under the ECT Act No. 4 of 2021, except as otherwise stated here.

7.2 General No-Refund Rule: Except as provided below, all sales are final and non-refundable once access to the e-learning platform or digital product has been granted or the download has commenced.

7.3 Exceptions for Refunds: Refunds will only be considered in the following instances:

  • Non-Delivery: If Schopedia fails to provide access credentials or the digital product within 48 hours of confirmed payment.
  • Technical Defect: If the digital file is proven to be corrupted or the platform is non-functional, and Schopedia cannot rectify the issue within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Statutory Rights: Where Zambian consumer protection laws mandate a refund due to a failure in service standards.

7.4 Refund Process: Requests must be submitted to info@schopedia.net within 7 days of purchase. Refunds are issued at Schopedia’s sole discretion and will be processed via the original payment method (e.g., Online payment platform/Mobile Money)

8. User Responsibilities

Users must not:

  • Share login details or purchased content
  • Copy, record, reproduce, or redistribute Platform content without permission
  • Engage in conduct that harms Schopedia, creators, or other users
  • Violation of this section may result in account suspension or termination.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 All content on Schopedia, including text, videos, graphics, and course materials, is protected by intellectual property laws.

9.2 Content may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, or reused without prior written permission from Schopedia or the respective content owner.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal data is collected, used, stored, and protected in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2021 (Zambia).

11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

11.1 All content is provided “as is” and for educational purposes only.

11.2 Schopedia does not guarantee specific outcomes, employment opportunities, or skill mastery.

11.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Schopedia shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
  • Loss of income, data, or business opportunities arising from use of the Platform

12. Suspension and Termination

Schopedia may suspend or terminate access to the Platform where:

  • These Terms are breached
  • Unlawful or harmful activity is detected
  • Required by law or regulatory authorities

13. Changes to These Terms

Schopedia may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be published on the Platform, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia, and the courts of Zambia shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
